It's free, easy, and quick to check on how much you can save on your car insurance.

I'm one of those people that stick with the same insurance company until they give me a reason to look elsewhere. I was with Allstate for over 12 years and had an overall excellent driving record. There was one minor accident when I was 17 and then a clean slate after that. Not even one ticket!

That's until I got into a minor fender bender in my late 20s and I was deemed at fault. My 6-month premium increased by almost double and I knew I had to cancel with them.

Easy Way to Check Quotes

At first, I contacted car insurance companies directly for quotes, but it got repetitive filling in the SAME information over and over. So I used The Smart Wallet's Auto Marketplace instead to make it easier. It was simple:

  1. Head to the Auto Marketplace to get started
  2. Enter in your zip code so they can pull the most accurate rates for your area
  3. You'll answer some basic questions like how many years have you had insurance, how many drivers will be on the policy, if you've had any accidents, etc.
  4. Choose how you want to be contacted. Everyone will see online options, but you can get more custom quotes via email or an immediate call from a licensed agent for faster and personalized service. You'll definitely want to keep your phone nearby!
  5. Last step: Save on your auto insurance!

I Saved $550 Per 6-Month Premium

My payments were every 6 months so technically I saved a total of $1,100 savings a year! Through the Auto Marketplace, I ended up finding a much more reasonable quote than what my previous insurance was going to charge me.

I went with Savvy, but it'll be different based on your location, age, type of car you drive, past driving history, etc. You'll be able to see all the various quotes! Note that I had a recent auto accident when applying, so if you have a clean 3-year slate, your quote may even be better!

And just because one quote could look affordable, make sure the coverage is what you need. Look into your current Bodily Injury, Property Damage, Collision Deductible, and more when choosing a new policy. I went with the same type of policy and still saved $550 for every 6-month premium. Maybe it's time to break up with your current insurance? It's free to check for quotes and you could be saving hundreds of money!
